Postcard Size in Inches

Postcards are typically sized in inches. Most standard postcards are 4" x 6" in size. However, there are some exceptions. Some people prefer postcards that are larger, while others prefer a smaller, boxier design. Other manufacturers and printing services use slightly different postcard sizes to maximize the number of cards that they can print on a sheet. As such, the size of your postcard can vary up to 1/2 inches.

While most countries have different postal regulations, the International Standard Postcard Size is determined by the Universal Postal Union. These postcards should be at least 3.5 x 5 inches. They should be printed on thick cardstock so that they will not fall apart. These dimensions are ideal for postage as postcards don't need to be thick enough to prevent creases. Additionally, they should be durable enough to withstand the postal system and shipping.

Postcards without envelopes must adhere to the USPS' standard mailing requirements. Generally, these are 4" x 6" to 4" x 11", and can be sent in the mail without any additional expenses. It is also recommended to choose a thicker card stock to avoid damage when mailed. If you're worried about how your postcard will arrive in the mail, consider printing a smaller postcard. If you're worried about the weight, you can choose First Class Mail, which is more expensive, but it has a faster delivery time.
