This type of mail is much faster and can be forwarded faster if the recipient changes his or her address. However, if you do not want to use the same size as your target audience, you should choose a bigger one.

There are two different postcard sizes available, standard and priority. First-class mail is usually the most affordable, while priority mail takes longer to reach its destination. Both types of mail require the same standard postcard sizes, and the postal services have different weight requirements, depending on the size of the postcard. Besides, the size of a postcard will have to be within the guidelines, as the USPS does not allow larger postcards to be mailed through the USPS.

The Standard postcard size has the highest versatility, and is a popular choice for marketing campaigns. It can be printed horizontally or vertically. It is the most widely used size in the market. It is also bigger than the envelopes, which makes it more expensive. Jumbo postcard size is an option for large mailings. It has the same advantages as the Standard postcard, but with wider proportions. However, it is important to note that the size will increase the costs.

  When sending a postcard, the USPS recommends that you use a rectangular, 0.007-inch-thick envelope. The envelope must be three-1/2 inches high by five inches wide and no larger than six-1/2 inches long by one-fourth of an inch thick. The maximum dimensions for 5x7 postcards are three-1/2 inches high by five inches by one-fourth of an inch, and the maximum weight of the mailpiece is two ounces. However, if your card is bigger than these specifications, you must pay for a flat-rate letter. The dimensions of a postcard are also important. A 5"x7-inch postcard is considered a standard-sized letter, but a 5x7-inch-thick postcard is not considered a standard-size postcard.
